* Cleanse your face gently and pat dry.
* Apply a small amount of the gel to the affected areas or a thin layer over the face.
* Start once daily, preferably in the evening. If your skin tolerates it well, you can increase to twice daily.
* Follow with a moisturizer.
* During the daytime, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher).
* Avoid applying it to broken or irritated skin, and stop if you develop significant burning or irritation.
